A 35 year old Minot man will serve 30 days in jail for trespassing at his ex girlfriend residence on March 1 and refusing to leave when ordered to do so.
Casey Bryan Allen pleaded guilty to Class C felony criminal trespass in district court in Minot on Wednesday, court records show. He was sentenced to 360 days in jail, with all but 30 days suspended, and two years of supervised probation. He was also ordered to obtain a chemical dependency evaluation and to have no contact with the victim. He must pay $649 in court costs. He had texted her earlier and said he was coming over. She texted him to stay away,
but he ignored her. Allen physically assaulted the woman by her around. friend of Allen came in and physically removed him from the residence. The friend told police that he and Allen had been at someone else house when Allen asked him to drive over to the ex girlfriend residence. Allen friend didn think there would be any problem with doing this, as they had been there in the past. But when he saw Allen arguing with his ex girlfriend and the other man from the street through the window, the friend went inside and physically removed Allen.
Allen ex girlfriend reported the crime to police later that day. Allen pleaded guilty to simple assault and criminal mischief, both Class B misdemeanors,
for the March 1 incident in Minot Municipal Court on Dec. 15.
